Why I gave up on “What They Want By Omar Tyree”

Name a book you started reading but never finished. Why did you stop? What would it take for you to finish it?

this is what the back cover says: “Successful model Terrance Mitchell had no plans to ever settle down. For what? Being single was freedom, where relationships were binding. Nor did he have any plans for a family, with snotty-nosed kids running around, cramping his style and eating for free. To hell with all that. Terrance loved his life as is. He was a well-traveled, good-looking model in an industry full of insatiable and beautiful women. Women who adored him and were willing to do almost anything to prove it. He liked it that way. And he had become accustomed to it. Then it happened. One of his beautiful women fell over the cuckoo’s nest and shattered his peace of mind. From then on, Terrance could never again lead the blind mice with his flute without feeling guilty about it. He realized that women had a purpose for him. They had dreams and aspirations that included his participation. Of course, a man in his position, constantly surrounded by beautiful women, would know this already. But just because he knew what women wanted didn’t mean he was capable of or willing to give it to them. Nevertheless, Terrance suddenly felt inspired to try.”

I stopped readin this book bcuz of my job. i used to read at work alot bcuz i worked in a call center…at the time we had like a 10 break in between calls all day (it was great considering that usually the calls where always back to back all day. but any way the point is with all that free time and them having me on the tech support split i used to read to make my day go faster. well one day they decided to change the type of calls i took. i started just taking calls from the installers (dishnetwork) we still had like 5-8 min between calls but there was no time available durring the call to read cuz u dont really have to tell them how to do things or what stuff means..they’re calling you to activate peoples equipment or to change some ones order cuz the sales rep either fucked it up or jus lied to the person about the equipment so if this has ever happened to u im the person that gets to tell u that u owe like $200 more to get the equipment that you thought u already pay 4 and you get to scream and yell at me for 15 mins and end up canceling ur order and finding sum 1 else lol well….. i used to be that person anyway but back to the point. it then got to the point that they had us taking calls from installers and customers (mixed up through out the shift) so there was no more time in between calls so i stopped reading as much and then i didnt really have the urge to finish it…partly because it was kinda hard to get into… it had the potential to be a good book but i lost interest

what would it take to finish it? hmmmm…. not sure that i want to
